As the lead product designer on a platform aimed at helping younger students map out their career paths, I faced the challenge of presenting a vast amount of information in a way that was both engaging and accessible to a younger demographic. One of the key obstacles was ensuring that the platform remained user-friendly while conveying complex data without overwhelming the users.
To address this, I collaborated closely with developers to ensure all necessary data points were accurately represented, while working with the design team to create a visually appealing, intuitive solution. We opted for larger text sizes and color highlights to emphasize key information, guiding the user’s attention effectively. Additionally, we integrated visual aids to simplify and break down complex data, making the content more digestible and engaging for our audience.
At the time the platform’s success had led to securing sponsorships and investments, and the company was expanding its reach on a national level.
